Dr Keabetswe T. Ncube, born and raised in Pella village, North West Province, South Africa, is an emerging researcher and currently an NRF Scarce Skills funded Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Johannesburg, hosted by Dr Fidele Tugizimana. Dr Ncube has extensive professional experience as a genomics specialist, microbiologist, quality control officer, postgraduate student supervisor, and subject coordinator in Animal Breeding and Genetics. She has also contributed significantly to the African Goat Improvement Network (AGIN) as a postgraduate researcher at the Agricultural Research Council, where she coordinated community-based breeding programmes and trained farmers. Her current postdoctoral research explores the medicinal properties of goat milk for cosmetic and health benefits, integrating genomics, proteomics and metabolomics approaches with translational applications in product development and entrepreneurship.
