Lufuno Tia Mabogo is a driven and ambitious young researcher from Vleifontein, Limpopo (South Africa). Currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Johannesburg, under the supervision of Dr. Fidele Tugizimana. Lufuno’s fascination with biochemistry was sparked by a profound curiosity for the intricate mechanisms governing life. Her eagerness to solve complex problems and contribute meaningfully to the field has only intensified, fueling her passion for research. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, she is driven to unravel the mysteries of biochemistry and harness its potential to transform human health. Her research focuses on computational metabolomics, specifically investigating the medicinal properties of Zanthoxylum capense bark extract. This research aims to unlock the antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and toxicity properties of this extract, with significant potential applications for the development of new treatments.
