About
I am a first-year MSc student in Biochemistry at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa). I was first introduced to Plant Metabolomics when deciding to pursue my interest in Mass Spectrometry (MS) as an analytical technique, for my MSc research. My supervisor, Dr Fidele Tugizimana, sparked my curiosity in harnessing MS capabilities for plant natural products research in drug discovery, and my MSc research will focus on that as well as the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence in MS workflow. I will be researching the use of Ion mobility MS, MS imaging and machine learning in data annotation concerning Synaptolepis Kirkii metabolomics.
