Rudzani

About

I am Rudzani Matodzi and I come from Limpopo in a small village called Dopeni found in nzhelele.I’m a driven and ambitious student with a passion for biochemistry and its applications in improving human health. Currently, I’m pursuing my Master’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), where I’m focusing on Metabolomics and Natural Products. My research centers around the biochemical characterization and metabolomics analysis of the Sutherlandia frutescens plant, with a specific emphasis on its potential anti-diabetic properties. I’m fascinated by the prospect of unlocking the secrets of this plant and contributing to the development of novel, natural product-based therapies for diabetes management. Upon completing my Master’s degree, I aim to pursue a career in research and development, focusing on natural product-based drug discovery and development. I’m eager to collaborate with experts in the field and contribute to the advancement of human health through innovative, evidence-based research.
